Yes, cdza skipped Eduardo-Leon Scott de Martinville's phonautograph. Au Clair de la Lune was the first recording on this device.

When comparing two audio samples like in the mono to stereophonic sound example, don't change the song you are playing. Now you introduce two variables to the mix and it just takes away from the actual demonstration for people looking for it

+RedTV8888 Autotune is the representative for the whole world of plugin and after effects in music. Meaning you can do adjustments after the recording is done. So for the recorded audio it is amazing.

Holy crap, AMPLIFICATION/ELECTRIC RECORDING not one of the "Milestones"?But Autotune is??? Most of these so-called Milestones have simply degraded contemporary recorded audio. Western Electric, Edwin Armstrong, RCA, Neumann, etc, Do your homework, boys!!!

+SmashdedMirrior Playa I don't think so, I agree that it's funny sometimes, and it is a nice eventual sound effect, but it makes the voice ugly and unnatural so much that I hate it. But it is just my opinion.

I wish this reasoning wasn't inscrutable. If it's a wonderful video, then it's a wonderful video. The answer to your question must be that "bad" language doesn't spoil a video that is really "wonderful and educational".

Stephanie Holtman
Stephanie Holtman

This is a wonderful video, I just wish the language at 4:15 was clean enough for me to share with my middle school students! Why spoil a really wonderful and educational video with bad language (even if you bleep it out...)?

After reviewing this comment several times, I'm not quite sure how to respond. On one hand I am appreciative of the correction as I understand that spelling is important and should be corrected when wrong. On the other hand, really? It's one word that one will only use about 20 times in an average lifetime. There is no need to be a Grammar Nazi... Also Mr. Pot, the beginning of a sentence always starts with a capital letter and ends with some type of punctuation at the end.

Also one thing people don't get about auto-tune, is that you can't make a crappy singer sound good with it. You still have to have pretty good pitch, and autotune doesn't fix bad tone.

There was electrical music before dubstep. The only thing dubstep revolutionized is the wobble bass, which isn't that big of an advancement. The difference being that the wobble bass is just an effect that you can add within seconds to a regular bass sound and I know this is true because I've actually done it and have some skill in the usage of FL studio.

To be honest, you cant even technically call dubstep music. A good dubstep song is really just a good compilation of sounds. However, if you look at all music throughout history every single piece of music can be written. Don't get get me wrong, i love dubstep, it just doesnt successfully complete the criteria i have for something to be called music.

I'm not saying your musical taste is bad, I'm saying that dubstep isn't a milestone, or an advance for that matter.

sl0ptart
sl0ptart

Idiot, can you honestly not see how dubstep requires skill and dedication? I'd like to see you try to make a successful dubstep song, i could randomly blow a horn and call it jazz too. Just because i have a difference of musical taste i must be wrong? How shallow, i feel sorry for you.
